Cruise Line: Royal Caribbean

Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Itinerary: 7-night Eastern Caribbean

Date of Cruise: Dec. 23-30, 2007

Agent Name: Deb

Review: This is one of the Voyager class ships, which are the 2nd newest line for RCCL. She’s a very large ship, which offers alot for everyone to do. There’s mini golf, rock climbing, inline skating and ice skating along with wonderful stage shows, Bingo, trivia and a ton of other activities. For the shore excursions, beware of the Treetop Loterie Farms, though–it’s not just a zip line excursion but a tough obstacle course. Most of the younger crowd enjoyed it, but it wore everyone out!

°o° Magic for Less Travel Tips: Soda isn’t free, but they have a soda package you can buy on the first day for unlimited refills. Ice skating and the other sports are all free. On Christmas, Santa is there with gifts for all of the kids, including the teens. Once you’ve sailed with them, be sure to sign up to be a member of the Crown and Anchor Society, which is their repeat guest program. On future sailings you’ll receive a few coupons and amenities as well as a small gift.
