Carnival Vista

The Carnival Vista is Carnival’s newest ship (until the Carnival Horizon comes out in 2018) and is a beautiful ship.  Gone are the days of the bright, glaring décor and it is now a subtle décor that is pleasant to everyone.

This ship has a lot of the features you’ll find on other newer Carnival cruise ships.  They’re also adding some of the features when they refurbish older ships as well.  One of the favorites is Guy’s Burger Joint.  You’ll find wonderful burgers here along with a very nice toppings bar.  There are a few different burgers on the menu or you can build your own at the toppings bar.

There is also the Blue Iguana Cantina that serves up Mexican favorites.  They also have breakfast burritos which were very popular.  You can also find pizza 24-hours-a-day at Pizzeria del Capitano.

Two of the specialty restaurants offer lunch without the surcharge on most days.  These are the Italian restaurant Cucina del Capitano and Ji Ji Asian Kitchen where you can build your favorites from the Mongolian wok.  The dinner menu is larger but there is also a small surcharge dinner.

Along with these complimentary places to dine on sea days you’ll find the Pig and Anchor BBQ on deck 5.  This offers your typical BBQ favorites such as pulled pork, chicken, beans, potato salad and cole slaw.

Just want to get yourself a drink?  You can go to the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar and Red Frog Rum Bar on the Lido deck or get that fun pub feeling at the Red Frog Pub and Brewery where they have their own brewery right on the ship!  You can get a tour of the brewery on sea days as well.

There’s plenty to do other than eat and drink, though.  The Ocean Plaza has games and trivia each afternoon.  There are pools and WaterWorks if you want to get wet, or just enjoy the sun.  The Carnival Vista has their signature slides to enjoy as well!  Nighttime brings fun at the Piano Bar, try your luck in the casino, catch a show in the Liquid Lounge or a comedian in the Limelight Lounge.

And when you have had too much activity retreat to your stateroom so you can relax and get ready for the next round of fun.
